F-5 Black Silicon Nitride Full Ceramic Bearings
When everything is on the line, our F-5 delivers a competitive advantage for the most serious skaters in the most demanding races.
This full ceramic Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) bearing delivers the ultimate in ultra-low rolling resistance, thermal performance, and weight.
Our champion speedskaters demanded a bearing that took the durability and ultra-low rolling resistance of our F-4's to the next level. The F-5 bearings are some of the lightest and most durable in the world. The races and balls are crafted using a patented formulation of one of the hardest and lightest ceramic materials on the planet - Silicon Nitride (Si3N4).
This material is harder than most steel and resists deformation under even the heaviest loads and demanding skating conditions. As a bearing experiences greater rotational forces the friction and corresponding heat generation increase at an expoential rate. At world-championship speeds the heat dissipation capacity of the F-5's result in rolling resistance that is virtually unchanged to it's room temperature performance. The result is consistently fast bearing that is smoother and faster than just about any other bearing on the market.
These bearings are seriously fast!
F-5's are the next generation of full ceramic bearings. They offer unsurpassed performance for the most demanding speedkaters.
F-5's are available as single bearings or packaged in sets of 16.
Each set of F-5's comes standard with matched lightweight CNC machined spacers..
Bearing installation & maintenance
These ultra-lightweight high performance bearings are intended for use exclusively in inline speedskates. They are not designed to be used in quad skates or any other application. Using these high-performance bearings in any other wheels will void their warranty.
F-5's are specially designed to be used in inline skate wheels that do not require the use of a bearing press to install or remove bearings. These bearings are meant to be installed and removed entirely by hand. Special care must be given to protecting the balls and races during installation and removal.
